FRISCO, Texas— When the latest offseason began, one of the most crucial decisions the Dallas Cowboys had to make was over left tackle Tyron Smith’s future. The future Hall of Famer had a resurgent 2023 season, thanks in large part to head coach Mike McCarthy’s practice regimen for him, which included almost little practice at all, and it eventually led to Smith accepting a higher offer from the New York Jets.
