Injuries continue to be a theme of the Minnesota Wild’s season.
The Wild placed goaltender Filip Gustavsson on injured reserve on Monday for a lower-body injury he sustained during Saturday’s 4-2 loss at the Winnipeg Jets.
According to The Athletic’s Michael Russo, Gustavsson will undergo an MRI on Tuesday and he’s expected to be out of the lineup for at least a couple weeks.
The injury is another blow to a Wild team that’s been plagued by injuries all season and is also down star winger Kirill Kaprizov, who suffered an upper-body injury during Saturday’s game against the Jets after taking a cross-check from Brenden Dillon. Kaprizov is expected to be out for a week or two, according to Russo.
