Oregon’s defensive line will look a lot different in 2024.
With veterans such as Brandon Dorlus, Casey Rogers, and Popo Aumavae having reached the end of their eligibility, Tony Tuioti and the rest of the Eugene coaching staff sought reinforcements.
This is where former Houston defensive lineman Jamaree Caldwell comes into the picture.
The 2023 All-Big-12 selection joined the Ducks this offseason in time for spring practice and is expected to play a significant role on the inside of Oregon’s defensive line.
While speaking with media Thursday following Oregon’s first spring practice, head coach Dan Lanning discussed what he believes the 6-foot-1, 325-pound lineman brings to the table.
“Extreme power and speed, especially for his size,” Lanning remarked. “He’s a dominant player who frequently finds himself in the backfield, causing havoc for the opposition side. I’m excited to see what he delivers.”
