BREAKING NEWS: Cowboys key player requested not to play again due to…

For the second time in two offseasons, the Dallas Cowboys have allowed their top running back to walk into free agency… and off the roster.

Last year, it was Ezekiel Elliott. Tony Pollard is set to leave Dallas on Monday to sign a three-year, $24 million free agency contract with the Tennessee Titans, according to several reports.

The Cowboys attempted to retain the running back under a “Pollard Plan,” but were apparently outbid by the Titans.

Following Pollard’s departure, only Rico Dowdle, Malik Davis, Deuce Vaughn, Hunter Luepke, and Snoop Conner remain on the running back depth chart. In other words, the Cowboys are officially looking for a feature back in 2024 and will most likely prioritize the position in next month’s NFL Draft. They may also consider a free-agent deal with Saquon Barkley, Aaron Jones, Derrick Henry, or even Elliott.
