The Dallas Cowboys are the most criticized team in the NFL because owner Jerry Jones has not made significant free-agent moves. After being ousted in the playoffs by the Green Bay Packers, Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons were expected to receive contract extensions in order to compete for the Super Bowl.
That did not happen. In fact, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is also looking for a hefty salary. As a result, no one knows for certain what the future holds for the franchise.
In fact, Prescott has previously stated that he is open to playing for another NFL team, and Parsons ‘hinted’ a few weeks ago that Jones’ ‘all-in vow’ with the Dallas Cowboys would be broken.”We’re going all-in this year, man; that’s what I’m hoping for. I’m 24 years old, have been in this league for three years, and have seen it all. I hope we go all in. I’m hoping that we can go out and grab the players we’re missing, like we didn’t do this year. I think we can push ourselves to become better and greater for ourselves.”
Micah Parsons will not receive his long-awaited contract extension. However, in an entirely predictable move, the Dallas Cowboys gained time by picking up his fifth-year option in 2025.
Now, the Cowboys will not extend Prescott or Parsons in the near future, which might spark a major dispute. Dak has taken a cautious approach, allowing the 2024 season to play out, but Micah is far more vocal about the team’s troubles.
Will Micah Parsons quit the Dallas Cowboys?
Micah Parsons is 24 years old and attempting to land the largest deal of his young career. Although he will earn $21 million in 2025 with the Cowboys’ recent relocation, there are no assurances about what will happen, such as injuries.
