Continuing the Minnesota Wild 2024 NHL Draft Targets series, today we’ll look at Mora IK forward Michael Brandsegg-Nygard.
The Norwegian native played with Mora IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan, the minor league equivalent of the SHL. In 41 appearances with Mora IK, he scored eight goals and added 18 points.
Brandsegg-Nygard is currently competing for Team Norway in the 2024 IIHF Men’s World Championship. He’s been playing alongside Mats Zuccarello lately, and his second goal of the tournament came off a Zuccarello primary assist. Zuccarello assisted him with his first goal of the tournament.
The 6-foot-1 forward is an extremely versatile player. He is a terrific skater, can shoot the puck, and has offensive skills to play in your top-nine or top-six.
