Bruce Boudreau, who was recently sacked by the Anaheim Ducks, is now the head coach of the Minnesota Wild.
On April 7, TSN’s Darren Dreger claimed that Boudreau picked the Wild over the Ottawa Senators.
The Minnesota Wild then confirmed Dreger’s report:
According to Michael Russo of the Star Tribune, Boudreau told his wife that this was the last location he would attend. “I hope to bring a Stanley Cup to this city, or these two cities.”
Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet has reported the contract information for Minnesota’s new coach:
After leading Anaheim to four consecutive Pacific Division victories, Boudreau was fired after the Nashville Predators eliminated the Ducks from the first round of the playoffs. It was the team’s fourth straight Game 7 playoff loss, which appeared to seal his destiny in Anaheim. Boudreau has a career 1-7 record in Game 7.
